If you are going for the environmentally friendly option and using public transport, you can get around by bike or on foot once you are here. Arrival by train

This is one of the most environmentally ways of getting to your holiday destination, and without any traffic jams. Getting to Leogang by rail is easy from the mainline stations at Salzburg, Innsbruck, Wörgl, München, Wien or Klagenfurt. In Leogang there are stations at which trains regularly stop (Leogang and Leogang Steinberge).

Tip: From Leogang station to the Steinberg lift is a walk of about 15 min.

It’s easy to get to Leogang by public transport thanks to its great transport connections.

Arriving by the “Loigomer Busshuttle”

 

The “Loigom-Shuttle” in Leogang is a sensible alternative to using a private car. Around 3500 Leogangers as well as holiday guests and visitors benefit from this new on-demand service provided by Salzburg Transport.

1.) Autobahn A8 towards Rosenheim (D) – Change Autobahn towards Innsbruck (A) – Take the exit Oberaudorf via Niederndorf - Walchsee - Kössen - Waidring - Fieberbrunn to Leogang, Hütten 39, 5771 Leogang

2.) Autobahn A8 towards Rosenheim (D) and Salzburg (A), take the exit Siegsdorf via Lofer and Saalfelden to Leogang, Hütten 39, 5771 Leogang

*Due to the WHOOP UCI MTB World Series (03. - 11.06.2024) and the BIKEFestival Saalfelden Leogang (10. - 18.09.2024) the parking space will be moved to the Steinbergbahn. Separate prices apply.

According to the registration law, you are asked to register yourself at our information office at the Asitz lift valley station. Carrying a valid lift ticket, you are allowed to park your vehicle/ your tent overnight at Asitz (parking place 1) which requires payment. Parking area is not guarded. A reservation is not possible!


How does it work:

  • Entrance possible 24 hours/day, drive your car to the barrier and get your entry ticket
  • Please park space – saving (limited space only)
  • Come to the Asitz information office with the entry ticket immediately (on the right side of the cash desks, open from 08:00 am – 05:00 pm), after payment you will receive a ticket for your whole stay – entry and exit possible
  • Day of departure: exit possible until 10:00 p.m. (otherwise the next night is to pay obligatory as well)

Arriving by plane


Take advantage of how close Leogang is to 3 airports. International flights arrive daily at Salzburg, Innsbruck, and Munich, and airport transfer services get you quickly to Saalfelden Leogang.
